It's back to school time and here are some tips to prevent back pain when regularly using a backpack: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🚫 It should not weigh more than 10% of you/your child's body weight ✔️ Pick a bag with well-padded straps ✔️ The backpack should fit snuggly to your child's back 🚫 Use both straps, not just one! ✔️ The heaviest item should go closest to your child's back ✔️ If it’s adjustable, the adjustable plastic piece should hit two inches below the shoulder blades ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Backpacks are preferable to one-shoulder bags because the unequal distribution of weight can cause neck, back, and shoulder pain.
